Surviving EDC Las Vegas

Surviving EDC Las Vegas

What's better than attending a rave?

Attending one in LAS VEGAS!

June 21, will mark the 17th annual EDC. Previously a Los Angeles rave, EDC has been home to Las Vegas for the last two years.

Below are a list of necessities needed to make the best out of your EDC stay.

-EDC ticket (don't leave your room without it)
-hotel room (or rent a house! Sites like airbnb.com are great places to frequently visit if you are considering renting a house).
- sun glasses
-light sweater (last year, win speeds were up to 30 mph, causing the rave to end early on Saturday)
-PREGAME (you're in Las Vegas after all)
-A car (you will be making your way back and forth for 3 days! Taxi's can run your a fortune since the Speedway is located 17 miles away)
-Shuttle (if you're a worry freak and don't want to risk driving under the influence, take a shuttle. I must warn you, though, shuttle lines can be quite daunting and take several minutes even hours to enter)
-empty water bottle (insomniac events provides free water refill stations at the event. Stay hydrated, my friends)
-comfortable shoes

EDC is a rave after all. To enhance your experience, take the following items into consideration:

-vicks (preferably the nasal one)
-sun glasses (they see me rollin, they hatin..)
lip balm (feels so good when you're feeling good :D)
ice (if you can get a hold of ice at the venue, do so! Rub it on your lips, neck, or any other body part. You will thank me!)
-bandanna (rub some vix on the bandanna and wala! You'll be in heaven!)

Extra amenities to consider:

-light show gloves (if you know how to give a light show, don't be afraid to do so, it will be an easy way to meet knew people)
-massages (everyone loves a massage! Just don't be a creep about it)
-candy! (giving and receiving candy is part of the whole EDC experience)

TIPS

Before entering EDC, make a list of dj's you want to see. Don't wait till the last minute!
Also, familiarize yourself with the event. Getting lost can be easy, so plan a meet up spot if it happens.
Ride some rides! You're at the Electric Daisy CARNIVAL after all

Walk around, meet knew people, and take in the ambiance. EDC in Las Vegas only happens once a year, don't spend your whole time in one stage. Explore, discover new djs and talent!

EDC Las Vegas brings in dozens of world renown dj's. If you got the energy after one of the days, visit a pool party! Go hard or go home! (or go to your hotel and sleep)

Lastly, you're in Las Vegas. Hit up the casino, gamble, eat some amazing food ( I like the $40 24-hour buffet pass. If you get it, make sure you only go to Planet Hollywood or Rio. They rock!)

Hope this helps!
